BUYING DAYS TO BENEFIT THE CITY OF HOPE DURING THE 2010 NHS
NORTHBROOK, Ill.—The Presidents Council, the home improvement industry’s leading organization devoted to the development of the home improvement/building materials industry, has partnered with Reed Exhibitions to manage and promote all Buying Days held at the 2010 National Hardware Show®. The Buying Days will benefit the City of Hope, a charitable organization that is devoted to achieving tangible breakthroughs in the treatment of diabetes, HIV/AIDS, breast cancer and leukemia.
By providing a format for individual appointments with buyers, the Buying Days offers exhibitors an additional opportunity to meet leading retailers and distributors who will be at the show. The Presidents Council looks forward to having companies such as Ace Hardware, Sears, Lancaster/Five Star, United Hardware, Handy Hardware, Arrett, Jensen, The Andersons, Pro Group and Pro-Build, along with some non-U.S. retailers, to participate again in this year’s Buying Day.
Exhibitors pay a fee to register to have an individual meeting with the retailers of their choice. A portion of the registration cost is donated to the City of Hope. Registrations for the individual meetings will open mid-February.
“We are delighted that Reed Exhibitions is backing the industry’s effort to support the City of Hope. It is a ‘win–win’ event. The exhibitors get an extra chance to meet face-to-face with leading retailers who donate their time, retailers find innovative new products and the City of Hope receives support for their hard work in biomedical research and clinical trials,” says Steve Powell, vice president.
